2.3. A Patient Conversation: Understanding your Genetic Inheritance

As discussed in the previous lesson, your genetic legacy is one of the primary inputs into your personalized longevity risk profile. By reflecting on your family history, we can gain a finer-grained understanding of the risks most likely to impact your journey. No genetic test can replace the utility of knowing about the health history of those closest to you: your siblings, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
