We are now getting into things that are somewhat more controversial in conventional medicine: geroprotective agents, or drugs that can fundamentally alter the process of aging itself. The case for rapamycin is complicated and nuanced, but there are reasons to believe it may be a valuable tool for improving lifespan and healthspan for some people. It is important to emphasize that rapamycin use is largely speculative, and this information is not an endorsement of rapamycin nor is it medical advice.
