9. Nutrition

Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ)Nutrition is a topic as important as it is divisive. Food is a huge component of everyone’s life, and the subject of diet often brings out strong reactions in people. In this module, we will not give you a specific diet or set of foods you should and shouldn’t eat (outside of ensuring you get enough protein). Rather, we will first explain the scientific concepts necessary to understand nutrition and, more importantly, metabolic health. Then we will give you a set of principles that help guide you to being metabolically healthy, whatever your preferences and favorite foods are. And as a reminder, before you get upset about what is said or not said about your diet of choice, make sure you’re exercising (coming up in Modules 9 and 10).
